Our Story

DAHR Honey began with a friendship.

We met while studying in Egypt, brought together by a shared journey in search of knowledge. Like many students living far from home, we spent our days immersed in study, adapting to a new culture, and discovering experiences we never expected.

One of those discoveries changed everything.

Tucked away in a small honey boutique in Nasr City, we came across something we'd never seen before: White Honey. We bought a jar out of curiosity, not expecting much. One spoonful was enough to surprise us. It was unlike any honey we'd ever tasted in the UK—naturally creamy, delicately floral, and unbelievably smooth. We didn't know honey could taste like this.

That first jar sparked an obsession.

Over the following years, we became true enthusiasts of raw honey, visiting local honey shops wherever we could and learning about the incredible diversity of honey found across the world. What began as curiosity became a genuine passion. Of all the varieties we tasted, White Honey remained the one that stood above the rest—not just for its unique flavour and texture, but for the remarkable story behind it.

Through friends from Kyrgyzstan, we were able to source the regions where this extraordinary honey is produced—remote mountain landscapes of alpine meadows and village farms perched at high altitudes, where bees forage freely on wildflowers in untouched, pristine environments. Together, we searched for months to find the perfect source, determined to bring only the very best White Honey to the UK. When we finally found the batch that met our standards, we knew we had something worth sharing.

The next challenge was something entirely different.

Neither of us had ever started a business before.

From building a brand and designing packaging to understanding regulations, logistics, photography, and marketing, we've had to learn every step from the ground up. We're still learning today. DAHR Honey has been built through countless late nights, plenty of mistakes, and a determination to do things properly.

For us, this has never just been about selling honey.

Every jar reminds us of the beginning of our journey—of friendship, discovery, and the years we spent far from our families. It was a source of nourishment during long days of study and difficult moments abroad, and it carries memories we'll always cherish.

Our hope is simple: to share this rare honey with others and introduce people to a taste unlike anything they've experienced before.
